I bring greetings on behalf of the more than 450 members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Omicron Omega Chapter, located in Birmingham, Alabama.

Omicron Omega is the 15th chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® and the first graduate chapter chartered in the South Eastern Region. Since its inception, Omicron Omega Chapter has consistently focused on serving the community and improving the quality of life for all mankind. For over 100 years, the chapter has faithfully served the Birmingham Metropolitan Area, collaborating with various community partners to implement impactful programs of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. These programs have addressed critical issues including health, education, social justice and human rights, and community uplift. Omicron Omega Chapter proudly supports the current International Program, “Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood.”

It is both a pleasure and an honor to serve as the chapter’s 43rd President. Our membership is comprised of professional women of high scholastic achievement, representing diverse occupations, skills, interests, and backgrounds.

The mission of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their social stature, to maintain a progressive interest in college life, and to be of “Service to All Mankind.”
